This Homeowner Agreement supplements our general Terms of Service and applies specifically to homeowners who post jobs, request quotes, or book professionals through VeraFix.
Posting a job
When you post a job or send a booking request, give an accurate description of the work, location, and any details a pro would reasonably need to quote or accept. Pros rely on this information to decide whether to respond, quote, or accept.
Payment authorization
To book a pro, you need a valid saved payment method. When a pro accepts your job, VeraFix authorizes a hold on your payment method for the agreed price plus VeraFix’s service fee, this fee is added on top of the pro’s price and shown to you before you confirm. Your card is not charged at this point, the amount is only held.
Confirming completion and payment release
Once the pro marks the job as started and finished, you’ll be asked to confirm the job is complete. Confirming releases your held payment to the pro. Reward credits
VeraFix Credits earned on completed bookings can be applied toward VeraFix’s service fee on a future booking. Credits expire seven days after they’re earned if unused, and are automatically restored if a booking they were applied to is later refunded through a resolved dispute.
Off-app payments are not protected
Keep all payments inside the VeraFix app. If a pro asks you to pay outside the app, decline and report it, this is the most common pattern in home-service scams, and off-app payments are not covered by the VeraFix Guarantee.
Cancellations
You can cancel a pending booking request at any time before a pro accepts it. Once a pro has accepted and your payment has been authorized, contact the pro directly through in-app messaging to discuss a cancellation, and open a dispute if you can’t reach a resolution.
Reviews
After a completed booking, you can leave a rating and review. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience and follow our Terms of Service, VeraFix does not accept payment or favors in exchange for removing or altering a review.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for being reasonably available to admit a pro to your property at the agreed time, and for using VeraFix’s safety tools (such as booking check-ins) if you have any safety concerns.
